Alibaug works for offsites because of a specific geographic fact: it is close enough to reach in a morning, far enough that nobody nips back to the office.
Why teams choose it
The ferry is the reset. Crossing water does something an hour on the highway does not. People arrive in a different mode.
It is a real day trip. Leave Mumbai in the morning, work through the day, be home that night if you want.
Nobody drifts back to their desk. Which sounds trivial and is not.
Planning notes
Ferry capacity. Book ahead for a group. Sailings fill fast in season and on weekends.
Build in a food anchor. Offsite days fall apart when nobody has decided where lunch is happening. Decide it in advance.
Not everyone drinks. Corporate groups especially — some people will not want to drink in front of colleagues, and some are driving. A proper zero-proof list is not a small detail.
Dietary requirements. Get them before the day, not at the table.
Where we fit
Two minutes from Mandwa Jetty, so the group is not spending the day in a car. Open 8:30am to 11pm, so breakfast on arrival, lunch, and dinner before the last ferry all work.
For larger groups or anything that needs the space to itself, we do private events.
