Alibaug in summer is hot, humid, and still worth doing — if you structure the day properly.
Work with the heat, not against it
Early mornings are yours. Before 10am the light is soft and the air is bearable. This is the time for the beach, a walk, or a proper unhurried breakfast. We open at 8:30am partly for exactly this.
Middle of the day belongs indoors. Between roughly noon and 4pm, do not fight it. Shade, a fan or air conditioning, a long lunch.
Evenings come back to life. Once the sun drops, the coast becomes pleasant again.
Eat and drink accordingly
Heavy meals in peak humidity are a mistake. Lighter dishes and plenty of cold drinks work far better.
Worth knowing: not everyone wants alcohol in that heat, especially if someone is driving. There is a full zero-proof list — coastal coolers, fresh lemonades, mango lassi — that is not an afterthought.
Families in summer
Kids overheat faster than adults and get cranky sooner. Shade, cold drinks, and a place that will not rush you matters. There is a kids menu and enough space that nobody is stuck at a cramped table.
